How we deal with loss and mourning. It’s one of the reasons we had to postpone our episode to this week from last, and it’s sadly, something that many of us have had to encounter in the past year with the global pandemic. We look at how we as a community deal with grief, how it’s affected us personally and what the lockdown restrictions this past year has meant for many not being to able to grieve with their loved ones.

So Euro 2020 has ended, with the traditional heartbreak of an English defeat on penalties. But the ensuing fallout of the racist abuse towards the three players who missed penalties has had the more lasting effect.
We look at the subject of Identity. With this past month being all about football and national pride, how British do we really feel? Or has the racist abuse witnessed made us feel disassociated from feeling English? We ask ourselves the question, which has been a constant conflict in many of our generation - Do you identity yourself as British or Asian... or both?

For this year, we decided to specifically look at the Transgender community. With so many continuing to overcome social anxieties, cultural prejudice and personal trauma, what more can we do as a collective community to change attitudes towards the Transgender community? We're delighted to be joined by Amra Ahad, who shares her experiences of being a South Asian Transgender woman, including family pressures and the toll it takes on your mental health.

After a recent study by USC's Annenberg Inclusion Initiative concluded the negative portrayal of Muslims on Film and TV, we discuss our thoughts on the study, as well as look at examples of representation and ask what needs to change going forward.
